I do not charge call out fees, however the exception is I do charge a $50 call out fee for urgent or out of hours jobs.
What type of furniture do you restore?
I restore anything from antique and vintage tables, chairs, dressers to sideboards. The best bet is to get in touch with me about an item you may want restored. Each item is based on an assessment regarding it's condition and the scope of work it will entail as well as a discussion on the particulars of the restoration.
What is the difference between furniture upcycling and furniture restoration?
Furniture restoration and furniture upcycling both give existing pieces another life, but they begin with different intentions. Upcycling asks how the piece can be changed to become more useful, more personal or better suited to a new setting.
Restoration aims to return a piece to sound, useful condition while respecting its original materials, construction and character. It does not necessarily mean making furniture look brand new. Age, patina and small signs of use may be part of the story rather than defects to erase.
